Twenty-one of the Chibok schoolgirls hijacked by Boko Haram
have been liberated. The young ladies' discharge has been affirmed by the
Presidency
"It is affirmed that 21 of the missing Chibok Girls
have been discharged and are in the care of the Department of State
Services," said Garba Shehu, Special aide to President Muhammadu Buhari,
on his confirmed Twitter account.
"The arrival of the young ladies, in a predetermined
number is the result of arrangements between the organization and the Boko
Haram facilitated by the International Red Cross and the Swiss government. The
transactions will proceed with," he included.
Shehu said the president has been informed of the
advancement of the chief general of DSS, Lawal Daura.
The character of the young ladies has yet to be affirmed,
said, Bring Back Our Girls campaigner Aisha Yesufu told AFP. In any case, Shehu
guaranteed that their names would be discharged in no time.
He said the DSS would hand them over to the Vice President
Yemi Osinbajo after the young ladies have rested.
